Tasting: Nueva Aventura Wines

The story of Nueva Aventura Wines begins with their father, Manuel, who worked as a foreman for an organic pear and apple orchard, Pheasant Valley, for about thirty-three years. The orchard evolved into Pheasant Valley Vineyard & Winery, which brothers Adrian and Hernan spent well over two years chopping down more than eighteen acres of pear and apple trees to create a beautiful organic vineyard from scratch. So naturally, they grew up to be farm boys thru and thru.

Adrian and Hernan spent much of their time caring for the land, harvesting and packing its fruit, crafting a drinkable work of art, selling that art, and everything in between.

Eventually, they both worked their way into the cellar—and there they stayed, learning, shadowing, and picking up all kinds of techniques from an array of different winemakers. Now, working alongside Hiyu Wine Farm, they have been given an opportunity to purchase locally grown grapes from around the area to produce and present their version of quality wine.

With their extensive experience and excitement to embark on new adventures, Nueva Aventura Wines was born! Founded in 2015, they have produced over ten different vintages in small lots using natural, authentic, and low-intervention practices with local quality grapes.
